Allegations Against the Gandhi Family
On Wednesday, Gaurav Bhatia, spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), leveled serious corruption allegations against the Gandhi family in connection with the ongoing National Herald case, claiming that they have allegedly misappropriated assets worth ₹2,000 crores. During a press conference, Bhatia mentioned that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had recently addressed the media regarding the National Herald case involving Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. Before delving into the details, he emphasized the importance of considering the court's ruling delivered yesterday. This raises the question of whether the judgment is genuinely robust or merely based on technicalities, especially in light of the long-standing deceit and political propaganda associated with the Gandhi family.

Bhatia asserted that if there is any family known for corruption in politics, it is the Gandhi family. He pointed out that Sonia, Rahul, and Robert Vadra are currently out on bail under Section 420. He further noted that despite multiple court appearances, including one on June 12, 2016, neither Rahul nor Sonia Gandhi has received any compensation. They approached the High Court but were denied any relief. He dismissed claims of political malice, stating that Kharge and Manu Singhvi are spreading falsehoods.
On the legal front, Bhatia explained that the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) pertains to money laundering issues, and the court recently clarified that this case is linked to a private complaint without an FIR, hence it is not being actively pursued. He also mentioned that the education department may continue its investigation, as it has not been dismissed. Earlier, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that the National Herald case is being pursued by the ruling government as a form of political vendetta, asserting that the case is solely aimed at harassing the Gandhi family.

Addressing the media on this issue, Kharge stated that the allegations lack any foundation and claimed that no FIR has been filed in this matter. "They are doing all this for political revenge. This case is merely intended to trouble the Gandhi family. There is no FIR in this case. Our motto is 'Satyamev Jayate', and we welcome the recent court decision in this matter.
