Today marks a pivotal moment in Bihar's political scene as Nitish Kumar has officially resigned from his position as Chief Minister. A meeting of the BJP legislative party took place, attended by key figures including Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Kumar Sinha, among others. In light of Nitish Kumar's resignation, the Bihar BJP is set to elect its new legislative leader.


Nitish Kumar's Vision for the Future

In a post on X, Nitish Kumar expressed his thoughts, recalling that the NDA government was first established in the state on November 24, 2005. He emphasized that since then, the rule of law has prevailed, and significant development efforts have been made across all communities, including Hindus, Muslims, upper castes, backward classes, Dalits, and Mahadalits. He highlighted advancements in various sectors such as education, health, infrastructure, electricity, and agriculture, along with initiatives aimed at empowering women and youth.


Kumar mentioned that the government has laid out a plan called '7 Nishchay-3' for the next five years, from 2025 to 2030, aimed at furthering development in Bihar. He acknowledged the central government's support in these efforts and expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kumar assured that Bihar would continue to progress and become one of the leading states in the country, contributing significantly to national development. He concluded by stating that he had decided to step down from the Chief Minister's role after the cabinet meeting and would extend his full support and guidance to the new government.
