Neelam Alias Neha's Human Trafficking Operation

Neelam, also known as Neha, hails from Bihar and was living with her two husbands in the same room. She would send both of them to work each day.

Police Uncover Prostitution Ring in Nawada

The revelation of a prostitution ring in Nawada, Bihar, has left local authorities in shock. The police apprehended Neelam, uncovering a network that lured young girls into the sex trade. Reports indicate that she operated this racket alongside her husband, Sanjeev. During initial interrogations, Neelam confessed to enticing underage girls and forcing them into prostitution.

Rescue of 16 Young Girls

According to police, the sex trade was being conducted in the Navin Nagar area of Nawada. Complaints about the operation surfaced approximately two and a half months ago, prompting ongoing surveillance by law enforcement. On January 30 of this year, a significant bust occurred in the same locality, leading to the arrest of six individuals and the rescue of 16 underage girls. This illicit activity was taking place amidst a densely populated area.

Neelam's Role in the Racket

Investigations revealed that Neelam was the mastermind behind the prostitution ring. Following the rescue of the girls, a case was registered at the Nawada police station. Subsequently, Neelam was arrested in Bihar Sharif. Interestingly, she was operating this racket with her husband Sanjeev, despite having previously been married to Vicky.

Modus Operandi of the Trafficking Ring

Neelam, originally from Hisua, was first married to Vicky before marrying Sanjeev. Shockingly, both husbands were complicit in the trafficking operation. Reports suggest that Sanjeev and his brother Roshan, along with Vicky, would target underage girls, luring them into the sex trade through deception.

Targeting Vulnerable Girls

The police noted that Neelam's first husband, Vicky, and her second husband, Sanjeev, frequently scoured bus stations, railway platforms, and nearby dhabas and hotels in search of vulnerable girls. They specifically targeted those who had run away from home or were rejected by their boyfriends. These girls were then brought to Neelam, who would manipulate them into the sex trade.
