Bihar Woman Elopes with Lover and Marries on Train After Forced Marriage
A Unique Love Story in Bihar
In Bihar, a young woman found herself in a marriage arranged against her will by her family. Unwilling to accept this union, she seized an opportunity to elope with her lover. Remarkably, the couple tied the knot aboard a moving train. This unexpected marriage has become a hot topic in their village, particularly in the Bhirkhurd Panchayat of Sultanaganj.
Reports indicate that the girl had been married for two months but was unhappy as her heart belonged to someone else. Despite her attempts to convince her family, they ignored her pleas and forced her into marriage. Even after moving to her in-laws, her feelings for her lover remained strong, and she continued to meet him secretly.
To resolve her predicament, the girl devised a plan to escape with her lover. On Wednesday, she told her family she was heading to the market but did not return home. Concerned for their daughter, her family soon learned through social media about her second marriage.
Marriage on the Train
Using the market trip as a cover, the young woman met her lover and they boarded a train where they exchanged vows. Fellow passengers even blessed the couple and recorded their wedding. Videos and images of their nuptials have since gone viral online, sparking widespread discussion.
It is reported that the couple intended to flee to the city to live together without interference from their families. During their journey, they decided to marry. The girl first removed her mangalsutra and wiped away the sindoor from her forehead, asking her lover to fill her parting with it.
In front of the passengers, she urged him, "Fill my parting, and fulfill your dream." He complied, promising to live and die together and to honor their vows for seven lifetimes. After their wedding, they shared their video on social media, which quickly alerted the girl's family and the villagers about their union, leading to much chatter in the community. As of now, her first husband has not filed any legal complaints.
