Bihar Police Achieves Notable Crime Reduction
Bihar's Director General of Police, Vinay Kumar, announced on Friday that the state police have made consistent efforts over the past year to curb crime, resulting in a significant decline across all categories of offenses. Speaking to reporters, the DGP highlighted a 25% reduction in homicides in Patna, along with a decrease in incidents of robbery, theft, and other serious crimes. He noted a general trend of declining crime rates at the state level.
According to DGP Vinay Kumar, the police's ongoing initiatives to reduce crime have yielded impressive results. In addition to the 25% drop in murders in Patna, there has also been a reduction in crimes such as robbery and theft. The DGP further reported that last week, three Naxalites surrendered, with two INSAS rifles, four SLRs, and over 500 rounds of ammunition recovered from them.
