Gopalganj News: A shocking incident has emerged from Gopalganj, Bihar, revealing a horrifying conspiracy disguised as friendship. The murder case of Chandan Kumar, who went missing two years ago, has finally been resolved. The culprits turned out to be none other than his own friends. This incident took place in the Sasamusa Sirisia village of the Kuchaykot police station area. Chandan, aged 22, attended a tilak ceremony with three friends on the evening of February 28, 2024, but he never returned home. As night fell, his mobile phone was switched off. When his family reached out to his friends, they pretended to be unaware of his whereabouts.


Two Years of Waiting


The family searched everywhere for Chandan, but there was no trace of him. As time passed, the case began to lose momentum, yet the family remained determined. During this period, a new SP, Vinay Tiwari, was appointed in Gopalganj. The family approached him for assistance, and he promptly reopened the case.


Significant Revelations Follow


The police placed the mobile phones of Chandan's friends under surveillance, uncovering several suspicious details. As suspicion grew, two friends were detained for intense questioning.


During the interrogation, they made a shocking confession. They admitted to strangling Chandan during an argument over collecting garbage and disposing of his body in a drain.


Skull Discovered in the Drain


Following the suspects' directions, the police conducted a search operation in the drain, where they recovered human skull fragments and a jawbone. Forensic analysis confirmed that these remains belonged to Chandan Kumar. The investigation clearly established that his murder was committed by his own friends. Both suspects have been arrested, and further questioning is ongoing.

SP Vinay Tiwari stated that solving this two-year-old blind murder case is a significant achievement for the police. The team responsible for cracking the case has been awarded a cash prize of 5,000 rupees. This incident serves as a stark reminder that sometimes the greatest danger comes from those closest to us.
