Promoting Cleanliness in Shiv Nagari Bharmaur

The Bharmaur Trade Association has kicked off a public awareness initiative aimed at preserving the cleanliness, aesthetic appeal, and spiritual significance of Shiv Nagari Bharmaur. This initiative includes the installation of cleanliness message boards at strategic locations, particularly around the historic Chaurasi Temple complex, encouraging locals, traders, and pilgrims from India and abroad to maintain hygiene and safeguard the sanctity of these ancient temples.

Mahinder Patyal, the Association President, stressed that Bharmaur is more than just a town; it is a sacred heritage site in Devbhoomi Himachal. The Chaurasi Temple complex and other ancient shrines are revered by millions of devotees. He urged every citizen and pilgrim to avoid littering, use designated waste disposal areas, and help maintain the dignity and sanctity of these religious sites.

Other members of the association, including Harisharan Sharma, Deshraj Sharma, Jaisi Ram Thakur, Azad Jaryal, Kalu Sharma, Sumit Thakur, Pawan Patyal, Tilak Sharma, Pyar Singh, Manoj Sharma, Sonu, Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Saniyal, Madan Saniyal, Virendra Sharma, Manoj Thakur, Nek Thakur, Karn Sharma, and Sanjay Thakur, emphasized that a clean environment not only enhances the pilgrimage experience but also fortifies Bharmaur’s historical and cultural identity. They expressed optimism that through collective efforts, Bharmaur could become one of the cleanest and most exemplary religious tourism destinations in India.

The Trade Association has called upon all local residents, traders, hotel and dhaba owners, as well as devotees attending the Manimahesh Yatra, to actively engage in this public campaign. The association concluded with a pledge:
