Beware of Birthday Trap: Police Uncover Disturbing Scheme Targeting Women
Understanding the Birthday Trap Case
Have you ever been invited to a friend's birthday party at their home? If so, you might want to think twice. Recently, a disturbing trend has emerged where individuals are being deceived under the guise of friendship, particularly targeting women during birthday celebrations. The police have recently exposed a scheme that exploits this trust.
Revelation of the Birthday Trap in Ranchi
In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, law enforcement has uncovered a gang that preys on women under the pretense of birthday parties. The perpetrators strategically target victims, forming friendships to gain their trust before committing sexual assaults. This operation has been labeled as a 'planned hunt' by the authorities.
Victim's Harrowing Experience
The trap involving cake, intoxication, and brutality can shatter trust among friends. One victim recounted how an old friend lured her into a trap, leading to a horrific experience. She shared with the police that her trusted friend invited her to a birthday celebration, promising a reunion with old friends, only to find herself in a dangerous situation where drugs were mixed into the food.
Drugs Mixed in Food
Investigations revealed that the food and drinks served at the party were laced with narcotics. After consuming them, the victim became incapacitated and was subsequently assaulted. Upon regaining consciousness, she realized the betrayal by her friend and the entire scheme was unveiled.
Arrests Made in West Bengal
Following the victim's testimony, the police took immediate action, extending their investigation from Ranchi to Kharagpur in West Bengal. Two suspects, Danish and Fahad, have been apprehended, and the victim's friend, Oli, is also in custody.
Police Issue Warning
In light of the rising party culture across the country, the police have issued a stern warning. They advise individuals to prioritize safety over enjoyment when invited to someone's home or flat, especially if the invitation comes unexpectedly or from someone they trust.
