Bengaluru Shocker: Wife Arrested for Double Murder Involving Lover
A Disturbing Crime Unfolds in Chikkabanavara
Bengaluru: A shocking double murder case has emerged from Chikkabanavara, where police have apprehended Harini, the wife of the deceased, for allegedly murdering her husband, Abhinandan, with the assistance of her lover, Vinay. In a chilling twist, she is also accused of strangling their child, Yaduveer, to cover up the crime. This tragic incident was reported last Sunday.
Authorities revealed that Harini and Vinay conspired to kill Abhinandan, and their child was a witness to the horrific act. Fearing that Yaduveer might disclose what he saw, Harini is said to have taken his life as well.
In a bid to mislead investigators, the couple reportedly positioned Abhinandan's body over that of Yaduveer, attempting to create the illusion that Abhinandan had killed his son before taking his own life.
The investigation began to unravel when police discovered inconsistencies at the crime scene and identified blood stains. Harini's actions, including washing blood-stained clothes and hanging them to dry, raised further suspicions.
It was revealed that Harini had disabled the CCTV cameras prior to the incident. She allegedly summoned Vinay to her home around 11 p.m. the night before the murders. After the crimes were committed, Vinay fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police.
During a six-hour interrogation, Harini confessed to the murders of both her husband and son, according to police reports.
Nagesh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, noted that the couple had a history of marital disputes, often engaging in heated arguments. Although Harini had previously left their home, they had reconciled and resumed living together. The investigation also highlighted her relationship with Vinay.
Family member Jayamma expressed her long-held suspicions about Harini's behavior, mentioning that she frequently received calls.
Three months prior, Harini had left the household, leaving behind a letter, but the incident was kept under wraps to facilitate a reconciliation between the couple.
The presence of Yaduveer during the murder of Abhinandan became a pivotal aspect of the investigation, leading authorities to suspect that Harini killed her son to eliminate a witness.
Harini was arrested on Monday, and police are actively searching for Vinay. The investigation continues to piece together the events leading to the murders and the motives behind them.
Abhinandan, the only child of his parents, owned significant assets, including a three-story building in Chikkabanavara. Investigators believe that the accused may have plotted the murder to gain control of his property.
