He emphasized that if the Men in Blue maintain their current form, they will be unstoppable in their quest for the World Cup title.

Thrilling Match Sees India Edge Out England

In a nail-biting encounter, defending champions India, under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, triumphed over England by a narrow margin of seven runs, securing their spot in the T20 World Cup final against New Zealand. Saikia commended the team's collective effort, stating that their consistent performance would make it challenging for any rival to defeat them. He specifically acknowledged the significant contributions from players like Axar Patel and Jasprit Bumrah, expressing optimism about India's chances of winning the tournament. "If the team continues to perform like this, no one can stop India from winning. We hope that India will win. Axar, Bumrah, and everyone played very well. It was a very good team performance because of which this victory was achieved."

Explosive Batting Sets High Target for England

Batting first, India posted an impressive total of 253 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs, thanks to a spectacular innings from Sanju Samson, who scored 89 runs off 42 balls, including eight fours and seven sixes. Other notable contributions came from Shivam Dube (43 runs off 25 balls), Ishan Kishan (39 runs off 18 balls), Hardik Pandya (27 runs off 12 balls), and Tilak Varma (21 runs off 7 balls).

England's Chase Falls Just Short

Despite a shaky start at 95 for 4, England fought back with a spirited partnership between Jacob Bethell, who scored 105 runs off 48 balls, and Will Jacks, who added 35 runs off 20 balls. Their 77-run stand for the fifth wicket brought England back into contention. However, the match turned when Jasprit Bumrah bowled a remarkable 18th over, allowing only six runs while England needed 45 runs from the last three overs. Hardik Pandya then applied further pressure with a tight penultimate over, conceding just nine runs and taking the wicket of Sam Curran. Although Bethell continued to push forward, a quick-fire 19 runs from Jofra Archer brought England close, but they ultimately finished at 246 for 7.

Upcoming Final Against New Zealand

India is set to face New Zealand in the final, scheduled for March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, where they aim to continue their remarkable performance and clinch another major ICC title.
