Numerous banks will be closed in several states due to regional holidays and festivals, as indicated by the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar. While some cities may have banks operating normally, customers are advised to check the holiday list specific to their area before heading out.

March is marked by various festivals, leading to bank closures in different states. On March 19, banks in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Jammu & Kashmir may be closed due to celebrations like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Navratri, while operations in other states will continue as usual.


According to the RBI's holiday list, bank holidays do not occur simultaneously across the country; many holidays are specific to certain states. Additionally, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, as well as on Sundays nationwide.
