The series will kick off in Mirpur on October 28, forming part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle. The second Test is set to take place in Sylhet, starting on November 5.

Currently, Bangladesh ranks fourth in the World Test Championship standings after recently drawing a two-match series in Australia. Throughout the current WTC cycle, they have participated in six Tests, achieving three victories, two losses, and one draw.
