The Bangladesh women's cricket team, led by skipper Nigar Sultana Joty, along with players Sobhana Mostary, Dilara Akter, and Nahida Akter, have made significant strides in the latest ICC Women's rankings following their impressive performance against the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup Qualifier, as reported by the ICC.
Throughout the Qualifiers, Bangladesh showcased an exceptional performance, remaining unbeaten by winning all seven matches in the tournament held in Nepal. Their success can be attributed to both strong batting and effective bowling.
Notable Rankings Achievements
Nigar Sultana Joty has ascended to the 19th position in the Women's T20I batting rankings after scoring an unbeaten 50 against the Netherlands on February 1. She accumulated a total of 154 runs during the tournament.
Sobhana Mostary made a remarkable leap of 16 places to secure the 36th position, thanks to her outstanding performance, where she scored 262 runs at an average of 52.40, making her the second-highest run-scorer in the Qualifiers.
Nahida Akter's impressive bowling performance earned her a rise of eight spots in the women's bowling rankings, where she took eight wickets with an impressive economy rate of 6.21 and a strike rate of 14.25.

Arelene Kelly emerged as a key player, taking 13 wickets at an average of 10.61 and an economy of 5.52 across seven matches, making her the second-highest wicket-taker of the tournament. She climbed seven spots to reach the 36th position in the latest bowling rankings.
Scotland's Katherine Fraser showcased her all-round capabilities, scoring 184 runs with a strike rate of 138.34 and taking eight wickets.
