On Thursday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) shared important news regarding pace bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana following the conclusion of the third ODI against New Zealand. A press release indicated that Mustafizur Rahman has been recommended to undergo an immediate medical examination after the team's medical personnel assessed his condition. He will then start a rehabilitation program under the guidance of the BCB Medical Team. Due to his injury management, the BCB has rescinded the No Objection Certificate (NOC) previously issued to him, meaning he will miss the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 season.
Additionally, the BCB announced that Nahid Rana will not be permitted to participate in PSL 2026. This decision aims to provide him with sufficient time to prepare for the upcoming Test series against Pakistan scheduled for next month.
