Bahrain Accuses Iran of Targeting Hotel and Residential Buildings in Manama

Bahrain's government has accused Iran of targeting a hotel and two residential buildings in Manama, claiming physical damage but no casualties. This incident is part of the escalating conflict between the U.S.-Israel alliance and Iran, which has intensified attacks on civilian sites in the Gulf. The U.S. embassy has warned its citizens to avoid hotels in the area. As tensions rise, updates on the situation are expected as more information becomes available.

Serious Allegations Against Iran

The government of Bahrain has leveled serious accusations against Iran, claiming that it targeted a hotel and two residential buildings in the capital, Manama. The Ministry of Interior announced on X (formerly Twitter) that these locations suffered physical damage due to what it termed 'Iranian aggression,' although no casualties were reported.

Initially, the ministry mentioned two hotels and one residential building in its statement but later clarified that the attack specifically impacted one hotel, primarily the Crown Plaza Hotel, and two residential structures. One of the buildings caught fire, but it was extinguished by civil defense teams.

This incident occurs amid the ongoing conflict between the U.S.-Israel alliance and Iran, which has now entered its seventh day. Iran has intensified its attacks not only on U.S. military bases but also on civilian sites in Gulf countries. The Crown Plaza Hotel is located near the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet base, and reports indicate that two employees of the Department of Defense were injured in an Iranian drone strike there.

In light of these developments, the U.S. embassy has strongly advised its citizens to avoid hotels in Manama, as they may now be potential targets.

Iran has not officially confirmed or denied this specific attack, although Tehran has indicated intentions to retaliate against U.S. positions and allied nations in the Gulf region in response to U.S.-Israeli strikes. Some reports suggest that American soldiers were staying at the affected hotel.

This incident further escalates regional tensions, as Bahrain is a key ally of the United States. The situation is rapidly evolving, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
