Investigation Initiated Over Allegations of Donation Misuse

In Dehradun, the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has initiated an inquiry following serious allegations regarding the misappropriation of donations intended for the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This investigation will also extend to offerings made at Badrinath Dham.

BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi emphasized that the committee is taking these social media allegations seriously and has established an inquiry committee to delve into the claims. He also mentioned that explanations have been requested from the relevant employees.

Dwivedi dismissed a specific claim circulating online that identified an employee as his 'personal secretary,' clarifying that this individual is merely a standard government employee of the BKTC.

He assured that if the investigation substantiates the allegations, strict measures will be enforced against those found culpable.

BKTC Chief Executive Officer Sohan Singh Rangad stated that the inquiry committee will compile its findings based on evidence, including CCTV footage and testimonies from involved parties.

Rangad warned that any discovered irregularities would lead to legal and departmental actions against the offenders, in accordance with the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Act of 1939 and employee conduct regulations.

He urged the public to avoid disseminating unverified or misleading information until the investigation reaches its conclusion.
