Bachchu Kadu Joins Shiv Sena for MLC Elections

Bachchu Kadu, the leader of the Prahar Jan Shakti Party, announced on Thursday that he will be the Shiv Sena candidate for the upcoming Legislative Council elections in Maharashtra. The farmer leader and former state minister also revealed plans to merge his party with the faction led by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. This development follows Kadu's meeting with Shinde on Wednesday night, where he presented demands concerning farmers, agricultural laborers, and differently-abled individuals. Kadu stated that Shinde assured him of support on these issues, prompting his decision to join Shiv Sena. He confirmed that he will file his nomination as the Shiv Sena candidate for the MLC elections. Zeeshan previously contested the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections from the Bandra East constituency but faced defeat, losing to Varun Sardesai of Shiv Sena (UBT) by over 11,000 votes. Following his nomination by the NCP, Zeeshan expressed gratitude to Sunetra Pawar and other leaders, stating that this is a significant day for all.
