Ayush Badoni Joins Elite 1000-Run Club in IPL for Lucknow Super Giants
Ayush Badoni Achieves Milestone
In a remarkable achievement, Ayush Badoni of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has entered the record books as the third player to accumulate 1000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the franchise. This milestone was reached during a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Thursday in Kolkata.
Entering the game, Badoni required just 25 runs to reach the 1000-run mark, which he accomplished in the 12th over while chasing a target of 182 runs. He is now the second Indian player to achieve this feat for LSG, following KL Rahul, who was the first to score 1000 runs for the team. Badoni's current tally stands at 1029 runs from 59 matches, with an average of 26.38. Nicholas Pooran, a former West Indies player, also joined this exclusive club last year.
Thrilling Victory for LSG
Badoni's contribution was significant as he scored 54 runs off 34 balls, including seven boundaries and two sixes.
In an exciting match at Eden Gardens, LSG secured a thrilling victory over the three-time IPL champions KKR by three wickets. Chasing a target of 182 runs, LSG's success was bolstered by impressive half-centuries from both Ayush Badoni and Mukul Choudhary, marking their second win of the IPL 2026 season.
