The committee responsible for appointing the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the Ayodhya Ram Temple finalized the eligibility criteria during a meeting held in New Delhi on July 10. According to sources, candidates must possess a graduate degree and have a minimum of 20 years of experience in administration or finance. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in temple management. Additionally, it is essential for applicants to be followers of Hinduism.
Application Process and Selection Timeline
Applications for the CEO position can be submitted via a dedicated email address until July 18. The committee plans to conduct interviews for shortlisted candidates before making the final selection. The appointed CEO will initially serve a three-year term and is required to reside in Ayodhya during this period. Sources indicate that the committee has also decided to appoint a secretary to assist with the selection process, aiming to complete appointments by next month.
Supreme Court Hearing on Financial Irregularities
On July 13, the Supreme Court will hear petitions demanding an independent investigation into alleged financial irregularities within the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The bench, comprising Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V. Mohan, will oversee the proceedings.
Clarification on VIP Passes
Mahant Dinesh Das Maharaj, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, has denied reports suggesting that the trust blocked VIP pass IDs for Chhampat Rai, Anil Mishra, and Gopal Rao. He confirmed that passes are still being issued using Chhampat Rai's ID and stated that there are currently no issues with the system, which remains operational.
