Awareness Lecture on Drug-Free India Held at Government Arya College, Nurpur

Government Arya College in Nurpur recently hosted an awareness lecture focused on creating a drug-free India. The event, organized in collaboration with various committees and the Idea of Bharat Foundation, featured keynote speaker Rahul Sharma, who highlighted the dangers of drug abuse. Students were encouraged to engage in positive activities and support those affected by addiction. The session concluded with a pledge from participants to contribute to a healthier society. This initiative aims to inspire youth to lead responsible lives free from drugs.

Promoting a Drug-Free Society

Sudhanshu Sharma from Nurpur reports that Government Arya College in Nurpur organized an informative session titled “Drug-Free India”. This initiative was a collaborative effort involving the National Service Scheme (NSS), the Anti-Drugs Committee, and the Road Safety Committee, alongside the Idea of Bharat Foundation. The event was led by Acting Principal Dr. Anjana Gautam.

During the session, Foundation President Rahul Sharma served as the keynote speaker, emphasizing the detrimental effects of drug addiction on individuals, families, and communities. He encouraged the youth to avoid drugs and instead focus their energies on education, sports, creative activities, and community service.

Students were motivated to stay alert against the dangers of addiction, show empathy towards those struggling with substance abuse, and seek appropriate assistance when necessary. The event witnessed active engagement from students and NSS volunteers.

At the end of the lecture, all attendees committed to fostering a drug-free India and leading healthy, responsible lifestyles. Faculty members Manjeet, Dr. Anil Kumar, Surjit Singh, and Dr. Bharti were also in attendance.
