Historic Victory for Australia

After achieving a record seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup title, Australian captain Sophie Molineux paid homage to the legendary Shane Warne by mimicking his famous celebration from the Lord's balcony on Sunday.

Beth Mooney, known as the ultimate 'clutch-girl' for Australia, scored a crucial half-century, while Phoebe Litchfield's explosive performance propelled the team to chase down a target of 151 runs, securing victory with seven wickets in hand and 17 balls remaining.

A Tribute to Shane Warne

In a moment of pure joy post-match, Sophie celebrated by pouring a beer over her head, reminiscent of Shane Warne's playful spirit and his fondness for celebrations involving drinks and fun.

Warne famously celebrated after winning the 1997 Ashes at Trent Bridge by pouring beer on himself from the balcony. Molineux mirrored this iconic moment, holding a stump aloft while her teammates joined in the festivities.
