Auqib Nabi Joins India's ODI Squad for New Zealand Series
Auqib Nabi Added to India ODI Squad
Auckland [New Zealand], October 31: The Men's Selection Committee has officially included Auqib Nabi in India's ODI squad for the upcoming matches against New Zealand. Initially slated to join the team for the fourth and fifth ODIs, the right-arm pacer will now be available from the very first match of the five-game series. The ODI series is set to commence on November 4 at Eden Park in Auckland. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this update in a statement, noting, "The Men's Selection Committee has added Auqib Nabi to the squad for the first three ODIs against New Zealand."
Injury Update and Squad Changes
This adjustment comes after Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of the entire ODI series due to a hamstring injury he sustained during India's recent home series against the West Indies. His initial inclusion in the New Zealand tour was contingent on passing a fitness test. However, he remains a candidate for India's upcoming two-Test series against New Zealand. If he successfully clears his fitness evaluation, he may be included in the India A squad for the third and final four-day match against New Zealand A, which is scheduled to start on November 7.
