Incident of Harassment in Mumbai

A local armed department's assistant police sub-inspector has been apprehended for allegedly harassing a differently-abled woman in a park located in South Mumbai. Authorities confirmed the arrest.


According to officials, the incident took place on Monday in a municipal park situated in the Tardeo area, near the Mumbai Central railway station. The police reported that the accused officer was sitting with a woman in the park when he engaged in inappropriate behavior.


Upon the victim's objection, bystanders intervened, leading to the Tardeo police taking the suspect into custody. A video circulating on social media shows the accused being escorted to the police station by officers while being held by the collar.


Officials indicated that a case has been filed against the police officer under the Indian Penal Code (IPC), noting that he was not on active duty at the time of the incident.
