Guwahati, Aug 19: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced a significant enhancement to the state's road connectivity efforts, unveiling Asom Mala 4.0, a ₹10,000-crore initiative aimed at boosting infrastructure in rural regions.

In a post on a microblogging platform, Sarma highlighted the government's commitment to improving connectivity throughout Assam, ensuring that rural areas are more integrated into the state's economic framework.

"Our goal is to enhance connectivity across every part of Assam. Following the establishment of a comprehensive road network, we are now poised to advance this initiative with Asom Mala 4.0, which will link rural Assam more closely to the state's economic narrative," stated the Chief Minister.
