Inauguration of Mobile Planetarium
Silchar, Jan 16: Assam University in Silchar is preparing to unveil a Mobile Planetarium on January 21, coinciding with its 33rd Foundation Day celebrations. This initiative aims to enhance the outreach of science and astronomy within the region.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rajive Mohan Pant expressed his support for the initiative, highlighting it as a significant contribution from the alumni community aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and education among youth.
The installation event was attended by various dignitaries and university members, including Director of IQAC Prof. Piyush Pandey, Media Cell Chairman Prof. Alfarid Hussain, Alumni Association Vice-Chairman Prof. Manoj Kumar Pal, and several faculty members and students.
