On Sunday, Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma honored the memory of former Union Minister Arun Jaitley on his birth anniversary, stating that Jaitley's contributions will continue to inspire many.


Sarma took to the social media platform 'X' to express, "Remembering Arun Jaitley on his birth anniversary. A visionary leader, exceptional parliamentarian, and a guiding force in India's public life, Jaitley's contributions will keep inspiring countless individuals across the nation."


He further added, "On this day, we reflect on his legacy, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the country. His memories will always shine as a beacon of integrity and service." Arun Jaitley, a former leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), also served as the country's Finance Minister before passing away in August 2019 due to health complications.
