ASI Attacked and Woman Kidnapped in Greater Faridabad; Quick Police Action Leads to Rescue

Incident Overview

In Greater Faridabad, two individuals allegedly assaulted an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and abducted his female companion. Authorities reported this incident on Friday. Fortunately, the woman was rescued safely within hours, and the suspects were apprehended.


According to police, the incident took place on Thursday night in the Sector-78 area. The ASI, identified as Dharmendra, was sitting in a car with a female acquaintance behind the Science Bhawan around 10 PM. Reports indicate that three young men on a motorcycle blocked their vehicle's path, and when the ASI objected, a physical altercation ensued.


The police further revealed that shortly after, two additional youths arrived, one armed with an iron rod, who allegedly attacked the ASI. During the chaos, one suspect entered the car and took the driver's seat, while another sat beside the woman in the back seat. They then fled the scene with the woman, leaving the injured ASI behind.


Using technical surveillance, the police tracked down the suspects and arrested them near the bus stand in Faridpur village. The woman was safely recovered, and the two suspects were taken into custody. The arrested individuals have been identified as Yash from Bhatola village and Yashraj from Faridpur village.
