Concerns Over OBC Reservation Violations in Rajasthan

Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has raised alarms regarding the manipulation of recruitment exams in the state, particularly affecting the Other Backward Classes (OBC). He described the situation as extremely troubling.

On Tuesday evening, Gehlot took to the social media platform 'X' to express his concerns, stating, 'The ongoing violations of OBC reservation in Rajasthan's recruitment exams are highly alarming.'

He further emphasized that providing only 15% reservation instead of the mandated 21% for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) recruitment is a direct assault on the constitutional rights of the youth. Similar injustices have been observed in the recruitment processes for fourth-grade positions, forest guards, and second-grade roles, where rules have been blatantly ignored, leading to systematic discrimination against reserved categories.

Gehlot urged the BJP government to cease its practices of depriving youth of their rights under the guise of rosters. He called for the Chief Minister to intervene immediately to rectify these discrepancies related to reservations and ensure justice for the youth.
