Arvind Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Betraying Punjab Amid Mass Resignation of AAP MPs
Kejriwal's Strong Allegations Against BJP
New Delhi: On Friday, Arvind Kejriwal, the national leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of once again deceiving the people of Punjab following the resignation of seven Rajya Sabha MPs from AAP.
In a statement shared on X, Kejriwal expressed, "The BJP has once again betrayed Punjabis."
During a joint press briefing, AAP Rajya Sabha members Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak announced their decision to join the BJP.
Chadha asserted that nearly two-thirds of AAP's Rajya Sabha members had left the party and would form a separate faction within the BJP.
He also mentioned that several other Rajya Sabha MPs, including former party leader Swati Maliwal and ex-cricketer Harbhajan Singh, had resigned from AAP.
Chadha claimed that out of AAP's ten Rajya Sabha MPs, seven had officially stepped down from their positions.
