Itanagar, Mar 2: The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, expressed enthusiasm on Monday regarding a potential partnership with Spotify India aimed at promoting local artistic talent and bringing the music of Arunachal Pradesh to a wider audience globally.
Khandu took to social media to share his excitement after meeting with representatives from Spotify India's Music & Podcast team, stating, "It was a great pleasure to welcome them warmly."
He pointed out the significant impact that digital streaming services have had on the music sector, noting that platforms like Spotify have transformed the ways in which music is discovered, shared, and monetized.
According to Khandu, these platforms have opened up remarkable opportunities for artists, especially those hailing from remote and culturally vibrant areas such as Arunachal Pradesh.
He remarked, "Independent artists, regional musicians, and young creators are now able to connect with global audiences without any barriers."
The Chief Minister highlighted the necessity of utilizing digital platforms to present the state's rich and diverse musical heritage, expressing hope for fruitful collaborations in the future.
"We are eager to work with Spotify to elevate the voices of our artists and share Arunachal's music with the world," he stated.
