The vigilant forces engaged these aerial threats, ensuring no damage or casualties occurred. With heightened surveillance and counter-drone measures in place, the Army remains on high alert to protect territorial integrity against ongoing drone activities linked to terrorism. This proactive approach aims to thwart attempts by terror outfits to smuggle arms and drugs into the region, showcasing the Army's commitment to maintaining security in sensitive border areas.

Effective Countermeasures Against Drone Intrusions

Jammu: The Army has successfully neutralized several Pakistani drones in the border regions of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly at the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border.

According to officials, the Army engaged these drones late Sunday night after they were spotted in the Naushera sector of Rajouri district.

Vigilant soldiers detected the aerial threats and swiftly activated counter-drone systems, compelling the drones to retreat back across the LoC.

Fortunately, there were no reported damages or casualties during this incident.

Officials noted, “Five drone sightings were recorded along the International Border and the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir, including multiple instances of suspected Pakistan Army drones conducting reconnaissance in sensitive areas. Some drones were specifically observed in the Naushera-Rajouri sector.”

The Army units responded effectively by implementing standard counter-drone protocols, successfully averting any further incursions.

In light of the ongoing drone activity, armed forces are maintaining a heightened state of alert across forward positions in Rajouri and surrounding sectors. Surveillance efforts along the LoC and International Border have been intensified to counter any future threats.

Officials emphasized, “The situation in border areas is under continuous observation, with defense agencies exercising increased vigilance to protect territorial integrity and thwart hostile actions.”

Terror groups, allegedly supported by the Pakistan ISI, are utilizing drones to transport arms, cash, and drugs into Jammu and Kashmir, thereby sustaining terrorism in the region.

Typically, these groups drop payloads of weapons, drugs, and cash at designated locations, which are later retrieved by overground workers (OGWs) and couriers associated with terrorists.

To combat this threat, anti-drone technology has been deployed along the LoC and International Border, significantly reducing the effectiveness of drone operations by adversaries.
