Amy Duggar King has expressed her feelings following the arrest of Kendra Duggar, revealing that she was not fully informed about the situation. In an emotional Instagram video shared on Friday, Duggar King stated, "I don't know what's going on. Our local news is reporting that there are more developments, including another arrest, and I’m just in the dark about it all."

"I believe it’s important for everyone to understand that there’s more to this story, although I’m not privy to the details," she continued.

Kendra Duggar, aged 27, was apprehended by law enforcement in Tonitown, Arkansas, facing four charges of endangering a minor's welfare and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Authorities have indicated that the investigation is ongoing. Her initial court appearance is set for March 23, with a subsequent hearing scheduled for April 29.

This arrest follows the recent detention of her husband, Joseph Duggar, 31, who has been charged in Florida with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 12, among other related charges.

Arkansas officials later confirmed that Joseph Duggar is facing additional charges alongside Kendra, including four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment. Investigators had conducted a search of the couple’s residence prior to the filing of these charges.

In a separate statement, Duggar King conveyed her shock regarding the allegations and Joseph’s arrest, while also expressing that she was not surprised by the emergence of another alleged predator from what she described as a toxic environment. She emphasized the importance of truth, accountability, and child protection, stating, "Family connections should not automatically equate to trust or access, especially concerning children's safety. When protecting an image takes precedence over truth, and silence is preferred over accountability, it fosters an environment conducive to abuse."
