Criticism of TMC Government
During his three-day visit to West Bengal to kick off the BJP's election campaign, Shah launched a strong attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government led by Mamata Banerjee. He claimed that for the past 14 years, "fear and corruption" have defined the state's identity. Shah also questioned Banerjee's stance on the alleged infiltration of illegal immigrants and accused her government of refusing to provide land for border fencing.

In a press conference, Amit Shah stated that the corruption under Mamata Banerjee's administration has halted development in West Bengal. He asserted that all initiatives from the Modi government have fallen victim to the toll syndicate in the state. Shah emphasized that fear and corruption have become synonymous with West Bengal over the last 14 years. He expressed confidence that after April 15, 2026, when the BJP forms the government in West Bengal, efforts will begin to revive the state's heritage and culture, highlighting the significance of 'Banga Bhumi' as the BJP was founded by the esteemed leader Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who hailed from this region.
