Amit Shah Addresses World Navkar Day in New Delhi
On April 9, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke at the World Navkar Day event organized by the Jain International Trade Organization at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. He praised the spiritual initiative and highlighted the significance of peace and unity amidst global conflicts. Addressing the attendees, Shah expressed his congratulations to JITO for chanting the peaceful Navkar mantra for global welfare on this day, especially at a time when the world seems poised for conflict over imposing wills on one another. This is indeed very timely.
The event saw members of the Jain community and spiritual leaders come together, focusing on harmony, non-violence, and collective welfare. Shah emphasized that such spiritual endeavors are particularly crucial given the current geopolitical climate filled with rising tensions and conflicts. Earlier that day, Shah paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel during the CRPF Valour Day, commemorating their courage. In a post on social media, he stated, 'Saluting the indomitable courage and sacrifice of our brave soldiers on CRPF Valour Day.'
Shah recalled the historic battle at Sardar Post in the Rann of Kutch, which took place in 1965, stating that on this day, the fearless warriors of the CRPF stood like an impregnable wall, crushing enemy attacks and writing a glorious chapter of bravery in India's history. He paid homage to the martyrs. Additionally, earlier this week, Shah expressed confidence in the BJP's return to power while addressing election rallies in Assam, stating that if the party comes to power, several significant decisions, including the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code, will be made in the first cabinet meeting.
