Amit Shah Embarks on Extensive Multi-State Border Security Tour
Overview of the Tour
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will commence a significant multi-state tour of India's border regions starting Monday night. The primary goal of this visit is to assess security arrangements and enhance coordination among various agencies responsible for safeguarding the nation's borders.

The first phase of the tour will kick off on May 25, with Shah arriving in Bikaner, Rajasthan.

On May 26, the Home Minister is scheduled to visit a Border Security Force (BSF) post in Sanchu, located along the India-Pakistan border. In addition to discussions with security personnel, Shah will inaugurate several welfare initiatives aimed at improving the living and working conditions of the forces. Later that day, the Home Minister will chair a high-level review meeting in Bikaner to assess the overall security situation in the bordering districts. In mid-June, Shah is expected to visit West Bengal, another significant border state that shares a long international boundary with Bangladesh, where the Bharatiya Janata Party recently achieved a majority after defeating the ruling Trinamool Congress.
