Amit Shah's Strong Critique of TMC Government

On Wednesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce critique against the West Bengal government led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He asserted that issues such as 'love jihad' and 'land jihad' that have emerged during the TMC rule will be eradicated once the BJP comes to power. Speaking at a public gathering in Satgachia, Shah emphasized that the initiatives implemented under BJP governance would benefit farmers and state employees.

Promises for Government Employees and Farmers

Shah declared that both love jihad and land jihad would be eliminated. He promised that government employees would receive benefits from the 7th Pay Commission and Dearness Allowance. Additionally, he stated that farmers would receive ₹9,000 under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme instead of the current ₹6,000. Pensions for widows, senior citizens, and the disabled would be set at ₹2,000. He also mentioned that the BJP would work to liberate the state from syndicates.

Response to Congress President's Remarks

Referring to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's comment labeling Modi as a 'terrorist', Shah expressed that Kharge should feel ashamed for calling someone who has dedicated his life to combating terrorism a terrorist. He assured that the public would hold Kharge accountable for his statements. Shah reiterated the issue of illegal immigration, stating, 'Modi has liberated this country from terrorism and Naxalism. I assure you that the BJP will also free this nation from infiltrators.'

Border Security and Land Acquisition

Shah further addressed the delay in erecting fences along the border, accusing the state government of hindering the process. He mentioned that the BSF requires 600 acres of land for fencing, which Mamata Banerjee is not providing. He promised that if the BJP forms the government, they would complete the land transfer to the BSF within 45 days. He highlighted that infiltrators are taking jobs, misusing resources meant for the poor, and posing a threat to national security.
