Uttarayan, Lohri, Pongal, and Sankranti collectively represent the diverse ways of celebrating harvest festivals across India. Makar Sankranti is a significant festival in the Indian calendar, where devotees pay homage to the Sun God. This day marks the beginning of the Sun's transit into the Capricorn zodiac sign. Known for strengthening bonds of friendship, this festival is celebrated with kite flying, preparing khichdi, and enjoying sesame sweets and coconut laddus. Makar Sankranti also signifies the end of the winter season.
