Allegations of Fund Disparity in Uttar Pradesh Assembly
Opposition Leader Raises Concerns Over Fund Allocation
Mata Prasad Pandey, the Leader of the Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, has addressed a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alleging inequality in fund distribution. He has raised concerns regarding the allocation of funds for road construction under the 'Rapid Development Scheme.' Pandey claims that there is a bias in the distribution of funds between the ruling BJP legislators and those from the opposition Samajwadi Party.
According to the letter sent to CM Yogi, Pandey has accused the ruling party's legislators of receiving a total of 55 crores for road construction, while the opposition's legislators were allocated only 11 crores. He has termed this disparity as discrimination in development. In his correspondence, he emphasized that balanced development in the state can only be achieved if all regions receive equal funding. Pandey urged CM Yogi to consider allocating 55 crores to the opposition legislators as well.
