Allahabad High Court Dismisses PIL on Ram Temple Donation Misuse Amid Supreme Court Review
Court's Decision on Ram Temple Donation Inquiry
Lucknow: On Monday, the Allahabad High Court rejected a public interest litigation (PIL) that called for an independent investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The court noted that a similar case is already being reviewed by the Supreme Court.
The Lucknow bench, consisting of Justices Rajan Roy and Manjive Shukla, dismissed the PIL submitted by Mohit Ashok.
The petitioner requested a thorough investigation into the suspected embezzlement of donations and offerings made by worshippers at the temple.
Additionally, the plea sought an audit of the temple's financial records by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
The high court, acknowledging that the issue is currently under the Supreme Court's consideration, opted not to delve into the petition's merits and consequently closed the case.
