Alakh Pandey, the co-founder and CEO of Physics Wallah, has participated in the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. He expressed his support for the demonstrators and urged the government to engage in dialogue with them. This development follows criticism from the Cockroach People's Party (CJP), which accused Pandey of not publicly backing the students amid allegations of a paper leak for the NEET-UG 2026 exam. The group has called for a boycott of teachers who do not support the protests.

In a video shared from the protest site on Thursday morning, Pandey emphasized that the movement extends beyond just the NEET exam. He highlighted that on July 20, students across India staged a historic protest, reflecting their anger against the entire education system, stating, 'This is not just about NEET.'

Ongoing Protests and Demands

The protests at Jantar Mantar have been ongoing for several days, with students demanding action regarding the alleged paper leak and calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The demonstrations intensified on July 20, when thousands of students gathered, leading to police intervention. In his video, Pandey condemned the alleged use of force against peaceful protesters and made a direct appeal to the government to communicate with the students. He questioned, 'Why doesn’t the government talk to these children? They are our country’s future. Please come and listen to their problems at least once. They have taken to the streets in desperation.'

Pandey further stated that the issue is not limited to NEET but encompasses broader concerns related to examinations, education, and recruitment.

Commitment to Support Affected Families

He reiterated that the situation involves more than just NEET, touching on IIT, CBSE, SSC, and various educational and recruitment matters. Pandey also announced that Physics Wallah would provide full educational support to the families of students who have tragically committed suicide following the alleged NEET paper leak. He stated, 'I will fully support the families of all students who have taken their lives. I will ensure that all children in their families receive complete education.'

This public appearance marks Pandey's first involvement in the current protests and comes after calls from segments of the student community for greater support from prominent educational leaders.
