Demand for Publication of Voter List Revision Progress

The president of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, has called on the Uttar Pradesh government to release details regarding the progress made in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. He emphasized the need to ensure that booth-level officers (BLOs) are not subjected to 'life-threatening pressure'.

In a post on 'X', Yadav requested that the government disclose the statistics related to the work completed under the SIR initiative in the state.

He stated, 'The pressure on BLOs must be alleviated, and additional authorized personnel should be assigned to this task in accordance with the timeline.' Yadav also insisted that it should be guaranteed that members of the ruling party and their associates are not involved in this process through backdoor means, either now or in the future.

The SP leader further demanded a thorough investigation into how many individuals from the PDA community are being plotted to be removed from the voter list in each assembly, insisting that such actions must be prevented at all costs.
