Akhilesh Yadav Mourns the Sudden Passing of His Brother Prateek Yadav

On Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party and stepbrother of Prateek Yadav, visited King George Medical University in Lucknow to pay his respects following Prateek's untimely death. Speaking to reporters, Akhilesh suggested that Prateek may have been facing financial difficulties or setbacks in his business. He emphasized that he had always advised Prateek to prioritize his health while continuing to work on his ventures. Economic losses or business failures can deeply affect individuals, he noted. 'He is no longer with us. We will pursue all legal avenues available,' Akhilesh stated, reflecting on Prateek's character as a hardworking individual who aspired to achieve success through his efforts. It is truly heartbreaking that he is gone.

 

Earlier, Akhilesh shared a heartfelt message on social media, expressing his sorrow over Prateek's passing and offering prayers for his soul. Prateek was the son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and his second wife, Sadhana. His wife, Aparna Yadav, currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission. Unlike many family members, Prateek had distanced himself from active politics.

 

Prateek Yadav passed away at the age of 38 on Wednesday morning. He was taken to a civil hospital in Lucknow, where he was pronounced dead. A team of doctors at King George Medical University is conducting a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. Sources indicate that Prateek was rushed to the hospital after suddenly falling ill, where he was declared dead by medical staff.

 

Prior to his passing, Prateek had been hospitalized at Medanta Hospital in Lucknow, and Akhilesh had visited him about ten days ago. Despite being from a prominent political family, Prateek maintained a distance from politics, focusing instead on his health and fitness. His wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, has been active in politics, having joined the BJP and currently serving as the Vice Chairperson of the State Women's Commission.
