Akhilesh Yadav Criticizes UP Government Ahead of PM Modi's Visit Over Traffic Jam Issues
Akhilesh Yadav Raises Concerns Over Traffic Jams in Lucknow
The president of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, has voiced his concerns regarding severe traffic congestion in Lucknow ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit. He directed his criticism towards the Uttar Pradesh government for its lack of administrative preparedness.
In a post on the social media platform X, Yadav, without naming anyone specifically, stated, “For the information of the ruling administration enjoying their holiday: please take note of the reports regarding traffic being halted in Lucknow due to jams. Since prominent figures are arriving, Chief Minister should also update them on the progress of the Sipahi incident and the banquet organized by the legislators opposing them.”
Along with his post, Akhilesh shared a video showcasing the extensive traffic jam situation in the city. His remarks were directed towards Prime Minister Modi's upcoming visit to Lucknow on Thursday, where he is expected to participate in an event commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Additionally, by mentioning the banquet, Yadav hinted at a recent meeting in Lucknow that involved several legislators from a specific caste group, diverging from party lines. Meanwhile, many residents of Lucknow expressed their concerns about the prolonged traffic jams on social media, particularly as major routes faced significant congestion on the eve of Christmas.
