Akhilesh Yadav's Strong Critique of BJP's Handling of Power Crisis

On Monday, Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, launched a fierce attack on the BJP government regarding the ongoing electricity crisis in Uttar Pradesh. He accused the ruling party of attempting to divert public anger through political maneuvers and cabinet reshuffles. In a strongly worded post on social media, Yadav claimed that BJP legislators and MPs were trying to shield themselves from the public outrage stemming from the severe power shortage in the state.

Yadav asserted that the leaders of the ruling party were not acting in the public's interest but were instead focused on securing their political futures ahead of the upcoming elections. He pointed out that the BJP's frightened lawmakers were resorting to a superficial letter as a 'paper shield' to escape the growing public discontent caused by the unbearable power crisis in Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized that this letter was not a genuine 'public interest letter' directed at their own government but rather an 'application' aimed at securing tickets for the opposition as the BJP's ship sinks.

He further highlighted that prolonged power outages during the sweltering heat have exacerbated the difficulties faced by the elderly, children, women, and the sick, while accusing the government of ignoring public grievances. Yadav remarked that there is no place in their alliance for leaders who only bring suffering and hardship to the people. He noted that only family members can truly understand the plight of women struggling to manage food and water for the elderly and sick at home during this extreme heat.

Yadav also commented on those who previously sought opportunities in disasters, stating that they have now realized that the 'official' they targeted for opportunities has become a disaster themselves. He questioned why the public should bear the brunt of the internal conflicts within the BJP's dual-engine government, emphasizing that problems will not be resolved as long as those who merely raise slogans and flee remain in power.
