Severe Turbulence Affects Air India Flight

An Air India flight traveling from Phuket to Delhi experienced significant turbulence, resulting in a sudden drop in altitude and minor injuries among several passengers and crew members. Reports indicate that the aircraft descended nearly 300 feet during the turbulence. Following the landing in the national capital, all passengers and crew aboard flight AI2379 safely exited the plane, with those injured receiving medical attention at the airport. Although the airline did not disclose the exact number of injuries, sources suggest that around 12 passengers were affected.

Airline's Response and Safety Measures

A spokesperson for Air India emphasized that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew is the airline's top priority. The airline is providing necessary assistance to those affected and is cooperating fully with relevant authorities during the investigation. Fortunately, no serious injuries have been reported. Passengers and crew members who sustained minor injuries and required medical evaluation were taken to the airport's medical facility by Air India's team and medical staff for precautionary checks and care.
