Incident at Delhi Airport

On Friday, an Air India Express pilot was reportedly involved in an altercation with a passenger at Delhi Airport. The airline has suspended the pilot pending an investigation into the incident. It has been noted that the pilot was off duty at the time of the altercation, according to sources.


The passenger took to social media to share details of the incident, posting a photo that showed blood on his face following the confrontation. He also included an image of the pilot.


In a statement, the airline acknowledged the incident involving one of its employees, who was traveling as a passenger with another airline and became embroiled in a dispute with another traveler.


The airline expressed strong disapproval of such behavior, stating, 'We condemn this kind of conduct. The concerned employee has been removed from official duties with immediate effect pending the investigation. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken based on the investigation's findings.'


Passenger Ankit Diwan reported that Captain Virendra Sejwal of Air India Express allegedly assaulted him at Terminal 1 of Delhi Airport. Diwan mentioned that his seven-year-old daughter witnessed the incident and is still in shock and frightened.
