On Tuesday, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the General Secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, met with Piyush Goyal, the BJP's Tamil Nadu election in-charge and Union Minister, in Chennai. This meeting suggests an acceleration in discussions regarding a potential National Democratic Alliance (NDA) agreement ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. According to sources, the focus of the meeting was on election preparations, organizational coordination, and the broader strategy for the NDA alliance. Additionally, discussions regarding seat-sharing arrangements between the BJP and AIADMK are expected to be a significant aspect, as both parties seek to outline a pre-election agreement.


BJP's Core Committee Meeting in Chennai

Earlier today, a crucial meeting of the BJP's Tamil Nadu core committee took place at the Kamalalayam state headquarters in T. Nagar, Chennai. Piyush Goyal chaired the meeting, which was attended by Arjun Ram Meghwal, the BJP's co-in-charge and Union Minister, along with Tamil Nadu state president Nainar Nagendran. The core committee's discussions centered on formulating election strategies, reviewing organizational preparations, and planning outreach programs across the state.

Piyush Goyal and Arjun Ram Meghwal arrived in Chennai this morning, marking the formal commencement of the party's extensive election preparations in Tamil Nadu. They were welcomed at the airport by senior BJP leaders, including Union Minister L. Murugan. Murugan later remarked that this visit underscores the party leadership's commitment to enhancing the BJP's presence and organizational foundation in the state.
