Afghanistan's Strong Performance
In the second semifinal of the ICC Men's U19 World Cup held on Wednesday, Afghanistan posted an impressive total of 310 runs for 4 wickets in their allotted 50 overs against India.
The standout performers for Afghanistan were Faisal Shinozada and Uzairullah Niazai, who formed a formidable partnership of 148 runs off 130 balls, putting their team in a commanding position.
The winner of this match will advance to face England in the final scheduled for February 6.
Afghanistan's Innings Progression
Choosing to bat first, Afghanistan began their innings steadily, reaching 23 runs without loss after five overs.
By the end of the 10th over, openers Khalid Ahmadza and Osman Sadat had guided Afghanistan to 42 runs without losing a wicket.
The Indian bowler Deepesh Devendran ended the 53-run opening partnership by dismissing Khalid Ahmadzai for 31 runs off 39 balls, which included four boundaries and a six.
At the conclusion of the 15th over, Afghanistan stood at 66 runs for 1 wicket.
Osman Sadat and Faisal Shinozada then stabilized the innings, bringing the score to 94 for 1 at the end of the 20th over.

Centuries from Shinozada and Niazai
Faisal Shinozada reached his fifty on the first ball of the 29th over, achieving the milestone in just 49 balls.
By the end of the 30th over, Afghanistan was comfortably placed at 145 for 2.
The duo of Uzairullah Niazai and Faisal Shinozada accelerated the scoring, reaching 170 for 2 at the end of the 35th over.
Afghanistan crossed the 200-run mark in the 41st over, with both batsmen continuing to dominate the Indian bowlers.
Faisal Shinozada completed his century on the first ball of the 43rd over, reaching the landmark in 86 deliveries, marking his second consecutive hundred in the tournament.
Following his century, he celebrated with Cristiano Ronaldo's famous 'Siuuuu' gesture.
Shinozada became the fourth player and the first from Afghanistan to score a century against India in the U19 World Cup, joining the ranks of Malcolm Lake, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, and Ben Stokes.
In the 44th over, Uzairullah Niazai struck 21 runs off RS Ambrish, propelling Afghanistan to 242 for 2.
Niazai also reached his half-century in 63 balls.

Deepesh Devendran ended the impressive 148-run partnership by dismissing Faisal Shinozada during the fifth ball of the 46th over.
Shinozada's remarkable innings concluded at 110 runs off 93 balls, featuring 15 boundaries.
In the final overs, Uzairullah Niazai secured his century in 85 balls, helping Afghanistan set a challenging target of 311 runs.
Niazai finished unbeaten on 101 runs off 86 balls, with 12 fours and 2 sixes.
For India, both Deepesh Devendran and Kanishk Chouhan took two wickets each, with figures of 2 for 64 and 2 for 55, respectively.
