Ibrahim Zadran, the captain of Afghanistan, acknowledged that his team faced significant challenges with their batting strategy, leading to a seven-wicket loss against India in the second T20I. This defeat allowed India to secure a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

In the post-match presentation, Zadran expressed that Afghanistan struggled to implement their game plan, especially during the powerplay, where India's bowlers exerted considerable pressure. He stated, "We faced difficulties again. We didn't achieve our objectives. As a team, we discussed how to enhance our approach. Our performance in the powerplay was lacking, and they applied pressure effectively. Credit goes to their bowlers. We aim to improve on this aspect."

The captain also mentioned that the team had deliberated on how to elevate their scores from around 150-160 to competitive totals exceeding 200 but failed to execute these strategies during the match. He remarked, "After the first game, we considered how to elevate our scores to 200-plus."

Zadran stressed the importance of adopting a more aggressive mindset if Afghanistan intends to compete with top international teams. He noted, "We need to instill that intent within the team. We did not apply it. To defeat the strongest teams on the international stage, we must enhance this aspect."

Additionally, Zadran pointed out the challenge posed by the lack of regular international fixtures, stating that more matches would facilitate player development. "This is only our second game this year, and we haven't had many opportunities. With more games, we will improve," he concluded.
