Incident at a Birthday Celebration

A young man suffered a gunshot injury to his chest during a birthday celebration at a farmhouse in Bhondsi, Gurugram, as reported by local authorities on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Chikesh Dahiya, 26, is currently in stable condition and receiving medical care at a private hospital. An FIR has been filed regarding the incident.

Chikesh, a resident of Dhanwapur village, was celebrating his birthday at Philocasa Farm House near RBMS School on Friday night. He was preparing to enter the swimming pool with friends when the incident occurred.

While Chikesh was changing, his friend Bunty, from Khandsa village, reportedly placed his licensed revolver on a table. The firearm discharged unexpectedly, hitting Chikesh in the chest.

He collapsed and began to bleed, prompting his friends to rush him to a nearby hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was later transferred to another medical facility, where he is now recovering.

Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene and later visited Chikesh in the hospital. He informed them that he and Bunty are friends and have no prior conflicts.

A case has been initiated under the appropriate sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Chikesh is currently not providing further comments. The investigation has been assigned to the Crime Branch.

Authorities are questioning Bunty and other attendees to gather more information and determine the next steps based on the investigation's findings.
